Omagari Fireworks Competition The biggest fireworks festival in the world
The Omagari National Japan Fireworks Festival is held every year on the 4th Saturday of August on the dry bed of the Omono-gawa, a river in the city of Omagari, Akita Prefecture. More than 30 firework makers from all over Japan compete to show off their technique.
